On 1st February, we celebrated the 1500th birthday of Saint Brigid. She is extra special to us as she is the patron saint of our diocese, Kildare & Leighlin.
Born in Co. Louth, Saint Brigid went on to found many convents in Ireland, the most famous of which was in Co. Kildare.
In school, all of the classes made St. Brigid's crosses using different materials.
Also, for the special day, each child in the school created a personalised square, which were all then combined to make this fabulous artwork of Saint Brigid's shawl.
Beannachtaí na Féile Bríde ort!
Blessings of Brigid's feast on you!
